Making Group Supervision Effective and Ethical

Build group supervision sessions that meet ethical standards, serve supervisees well, and actually run smoothly.

---COURSE OVERVIEW---

Course Overview

Group supervision offers unique benefits for supervisees: peer feedback, moral support, and a shared learning environment. For supervisors, it can help meet demand and diversify income. But effective group supervision requires intentional design. This course covers the ethical standards that apply specifically to group contexts, how to structure sessions for different group sizes and settings, and facilitation methods that keep discussions productive—even in larger group sites.

Course Description:
Group supervision is often noted as supervision sessions with more than two supervisees. There are many benefits to group supervision for supervisees such as peer feedback and moral support. Then effective strategies will be discussed, such as how to ensure supervisees are a good fit, how to structure sessions, and how to lead discussions with larger group sites.
